Beauty and The Beast

Beauty and the Beast by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve begins when a merchant, lost in an enchanted palace, picks a rose and unknowingly seals his daughter's fate. Beauty volunteers to live with the terrifying Beast, and over months of shared company begins to see past his monstrous form. When a vision of her ailing father pulls her home and jealous sisters scheme to keep her away, time runs out — and Beauty must confront what she truly feels before it is too late.
