The Queen Bee

"The Queen Bee" is a Brothers Grimm fairy tale following Simpleton, the youngest of three brothers, who proves that kindness is its own reward. While his older brothers see only sport in destroying an anthill, drowning ducks, and burning a beehive, Simpleton refuses each time. When the brothers reach a cursed castle, only Simpleton can complete three near-impossible tasks — and the creatures he once protected are ready to repay the favour. The story builds quietly toward a moment where compassion alone determines who is worthy of a kingdom.
