The Warm Patch | A Calming Bedtime Story for Kids Who Worry When You Leave the Room

Welcome to The Zeepy Sleep Podcast; a calming bedtime story for kids designed to help little ones feel safe and settled, even when a trusted grown-up steps away at night.

In tonight's episode, The Warm Patch, the Moonbeam Cat Café is quiet and cosy, but small kitten Toby can't quite settle. Every time Kip the Kitty moves toward the stairs, Toby's eyes follow. Instead of saying "don't worry," Kip does something gentle and clever. She finds a small square of midnight-blue velvet, warms it with her paw, and lets Toby discover for himself that warmth can stay in one place even after someone kind has stepped away. Through soft repetition and a ribbon of moonlight connecting upstairs to down, children learn that leaving the room doesn't mean leaving… love stays exactly where it's placed.

💜 What your child will experience:

• A gentle, reassuring story for children who feel anxious when a parent leaves the room at bedtime
• A soothing "still warm?" repetition that naturally slows breathing and builds trust
• Cosy café sounds, soft moonlight, and a purring cat: no sudden noises, no tension left unresolved
• A calming bedtime routine story ideal for children aged 2–6

Part of Zeepy's growing collection of children's bedtime stories and sleep stories for kids, The Warm Patch supports calm bedtime routines and emotional confidence around separation at night.
